A Review of Wealth’s “Irreplaceable”

I’m not familiar with Wealth but with this single, I’d definitely be on the look out for more tunes from him. ‘Irreplaceable’ isn’t your perfect dancehall song, the type one looks forward to at the club. First thing I observed about the track is its similarity to  Ketchup’s ‘Pam Pam’. However, I discovered that the latter was produced by Orbeat while ‘Irreplaceable’ was made by a certain Chamberlain.

Repititions are typical of dancehall songs but I’m getting used to it. The format seems to be like this: A. Get a good beat. B. Compose at least two catchy hooks C.  Repeat the hooks as often as possible. D. Add a verse or two if it’s convenient. Wealth followed this basic template and the result is ‘Irreplacable’ not sounding like something from a newbie. In order words, the track is not excellent stuff but good all the same.
