Music Review: Edanos in ‘Segengen’

Apparently, this template is not new. The artiste creates a word that has either two and three syllables, uses it as chorus or hook and hopes it generates enough buzz. It works well for Edanos in ‘Segengen’ but, for some reasons, may not be his ‘Skelewu’ or ‘Shuperu’.

The song is achieves a wonderful rhythm–isn’t that a basic prerequisite for every Naija musician today, what with availability of fantastic producers too numrous to count? Edanos however fails to punctuate his flow with exciting hooks on this nice beat. ‘Segengen’ is thus monotonous. You are engaged at the beginning but slowly start to get bored half way through the track. That’s not good enough.
